Frequently asked questions
Q. Are you insured and bonded?
Q: Are you a member of any professional pet sitting organizations?
A: Yes, we are proud members of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters.
Q. What happens at the initial consultation?
A. We will visit your home to meet you and your pet(s). I will ask you to go over your pet(s) normal routine and discuss all details pertaining to your pet(s) needs while you are away. We will also discuss details regarding your mail, adjustment of lighting, watering of plants, etc. We will give you a service agreement and vet release form to review and sign. We will also accept two sets of your house keys.
Q. How many visits will you make per day?
A. As many as you like. We can discuss how many visits are ideal for your pet(s) during the initial consultation.
Q. How long is each pet sitting visit?
A. Most visits are 20 minutes. You can extend any visit to 40 minutes for an additional $10.
Q. How will I know my key(s) is safe?
A. Two sets of keys are to be presented at the time of the initial consultation. Both sets of keys will be kept on file in the Five Points Four Paws safe. Only when a scheduled visit is required will a pet sitter have access to one set of keys. The other set of keys will remain in the safe at all times in case of emergency. We understand that your home is one of your most valuable possessions. We treat it that way, by handling your home, your key and your belongings as carefully as if they were our own.
Q. Is there a charge for picking up or returning my keys?
A. If we are given your keys at the initial consultation, there is no charge. If another visit is required for key pickup or return, there is a $10 charge. Most clients find it convenient for us to keep their keys in the Five Points Four Paws safe for future services, but this is not required.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We currently accept cash, checks, and PayPal.
Q. Will you give you my pet(s) medications?
A. We will administer oral medication at no extra charge.
